Luna has been away from his pod for a long time, Megan. It's different when an orca seperates itself, because it keeps moving along with the pod, and the pod is aware that it's gone and sort of 'wait up' for them (screw scientific terms). Luna's been sitting in a cove for the past, what, year? Two years? And he didn't voluntarily seperate himself, it was humans that did it.

If the tribe that's there keeps on petting him and feeding him, why would he want to leave? But in this case, we can't look at what Luna WANTS, because it's so dangerous for him to be doing what he's been doing (rubbing up against boats and their propellers, surfacing in front of landing float planes). Chances are, if he's allowed to stick around even longer, he'll get more comfortable with boats and such and end up hurting/killing himself.

He has to get back to his pod- or any pod, for his own safety.

Totally agree with you on everything. And Gary Bettman should DIE.

With this whole Luna fiasco, after the Gray Whale fiasco, I may tend to make some racist remarks about the Natives as well. Seriously, they didn't even mention this chief of theirs until they tried to take Luna away! What the hell?
Obviously if the Natives are going to keep on feeding him and treating him like a cat or a dog, he's not going to want to leave, and it seems like Luna's on the verge of causing some trouble to himself (and floatplanes >_>).
If the tribe loves him so much, why not get him out of there for his own good?

GAD THEY PISS ME OFF! ^$^%&%^$@%$#!
