a poem on cigarettes.

Cigarettes

how lovely are you cigarettes,
you always make me smile
even when you leave me coughing
every once in awhile.

you dull away the aches and pains
that meddle in my mind.
you keep me sane and satisfied
even when i'm tired.

friends and loved ones come and go
they leave when they tire.
you are there to keep me company
when i give you fire.

most people do not understand me,
i find it hard to share.
cigarettes dont even need my words,
cigarettes dont care.

comfort from my loved ones
i rarely get to find.
your nicotine however
soothes my troubled mind.

i know that you will kill me
it's inevitable to see.
right now though i am happy
my cigarettes and me.

cigarettes, bow.
