I actually enjoy dreams like that. A psychological interpretation of that by a prof of mine is that we enjoy fear and adrenaline. It is still an innate part of our beings, even if we have come a long way in terms of being a civilized race. Killing never used to be frowned upon back before civilized society, and has been theorized that without a structured moral upbringing that is inherent in today's world, we would have no hesitation to kill.
Apparently our brains have shut out and denied the pleasure of killing other human beings (of course this doesn't apply to everybody) so it fabricates/weaves an entirely different excuse to be able to kill.
