What can I say? It was pretty much the coolest movie I've ever seen. Just the way it was shot -- the shades of grey and the black.. with only certain things having colour. It looked really cool! And it was really nice how every single story was so different, yet somehow related. I'm now in love with Clive Owen. Hehe. And wowee, Josh Hartnett... Gah. *thud* He was so mysterious and just.. hot. Except he killed a lady! I'm guessing he's an assasin. I didn't quite get why he killed the girl, but my friend said that the girl he killed asked him to do it. But I don't think that's the case. Anyway, Elijah Wood was erm.. scary, to say the least. It was funny seeing him to kung fu styled fighting. But he was creepy! He had that weird look in his eyes and was just plain.. creepy. Hehe! The whole time I was like "Heh, Frodo would never do that!" Nick Stahl.. I was so happy to hear he was in this movie, but I was so disappointed to see that he played a murdering rapist of young girls. And what he turned into later.. just gross. That yellow monster thing... eww... Jessica Alba -- I think she's a cool girl (really pretty and whatnot), but I dunno. They make her seem like the big star of the movie. I think she had like 20 minutes tops. But, the movie did revolve around her character's story, so maybe that's why her part was made out to be so much more. But eww, Jessica Alba kissing Bruce Willis! He thought of her like the daughter he never had! And now he's kissing her?? The only thing I would have changed was Alexis Bledel. I guess you can take the girl out of the show, but you can't take the show out of the girl. It didn't seem good enough.. it was like Rory pretending to be a hooker. Not convincing at all. So my favourite part of the entire movie was everything surrounding those wacko hookers. Hahaha! Main reason -- chicks who can kick ass AND Clive Owen. ;) I don't know what else to say about it. Cool, and if you're reading this and you're into this type of movie, you should definitely see it!
Apart from seeing the movie, I went a little nuts and bought stuff. I have no will power and I'm a compulsive shopper. Not a good combo, eh? Anyway, I bought myself a book -- "Delicious" by Mark Haskell Smith -- and two CDs (both my Tristania, Beyond the Veil and World of Glass). I really like Tristania. Their music is different. It's like Irish-y influenced, but on crack! It's awesome. Hehe. So, I'm pretty much poor. :( But, I have new music and a book to read! lol! I'll try to take my time reading the book though. I'm one of those people that read books in usually one sitting (no more than 2).
Last night, I got a lot of writing done. At least 600 words. I'm proud of myself. I usually can't write more than 300 words in one sitting. I just had all these ideas and things were flowing nicely. I'll see if I can write some more tonight! I'm excited!
I know I say this a lot, but I really, really don't want to go to work tomorrow! I have to start looking for a new job. :/
