Aleister Crowley defined magick loosely as something like "causing a change in conformity with will". However, I came to the conclusion that this is false. not really. he dabbled in lots of stuff. he did do some invocation to satan business, but he was also in a very white light-ish kind of group for years before that. he's often been described as the "picasso of magick". the michael jordon of it, if you will. check out his religion Thelema on wikipedia. its rather interesting. the nearest thelemic group is in portland, which is interesting. the thelemites seem to be growing in number.
