I’ve always loved how you make up SpecialNames for (generally non-Boston) people you write about here on LJ, and I’m really curious and simultaneously really don’t want to know what names you may have for me and others you when you talk or write about us.

a while ago, back in the neolithic LJ days of 2001/2002, when a significant number of folks on the friends list were relative strangers from, like, Pennsylvania or Washington and fewer of you guys (you guys) had signed up, I did have a "non-local" filter for posting things that I wanted to talk about without having to worry about any local dramatic ripples. Looking back on those entries, it was for a very specific time and I never referred to any Boston people by name there. So, that's the honest answer to your question.

The hypothetical answer would be interesting, I think. I'm imagining it on another platform with reflections on memories from this city or something like that.
