About this time last year, I was at home listening to Pandora when the station had introduced me to Lana Del Rey by way of "Off To The Races". Daughter's lead vocalist reminds me of Florence and the Machine, both the airiness and the melody itself.

yeah, I keep getting tempted to make analogies to Florence + The Machine too, though there's a manic energy to F+tM that contrasts greatly to Daughter's more intimate sound. Though, based purely on vocal delivery, I totally see it.

The other band that Daughter gets compared to often is the xx, which isn't surprising since one of the xx's members helped produce their album. They're pretty awesome.

Also, as a change of pace, this cover of "Get Lucky" is great.
