Day 10: A Scene That Made You Smile
Series 1: Jack Rises from the Dead
The end of series 1, where Jack comes out of the morgue. He's holding Gwen's hand, and then he releases it to greet Tosh and then hug Owen. It's all finished with him kissing Ianto, and there's this sense of rightness. They're a team, and everything is happy. I like happy endings, and although Jack runs off, leaving him to rejoin the Doctor and restart his tenure on Doctor Who, I never felt sad about it. There was more a sense of anticipation, like I couldn't wait to see how the team reacted to his return. I always knew he was going to return, so I had nothing to be depressed about
Overall I preferred series two for characterisation, but series one has the only finale I actually enjoy watching.
