I've been slacking on everything. I haven't had time to organize the NE Hetalia meetup properly, I haven't had time to do anything I want to do, I haven't had the money to try and get my AB stuff together

Something similar happened with my dog last year ~___~ We found out she had liver cancer, and had to put her down on my birthday. We're still looking to find a new dog, but it's hard 'cause mom wants either a West Highlander, Scottish terrier, or Yorkshire terrier, and we're not sure how any of them, other than Yorkies, deal with cats (I have 2).
As for the Hetalia meetup I could take over for now. You will still be coming though, right? D=
Westies, Scotties, and Yorkies are all pretty much the same as far as what they're bred for and their "default" personalities. If raised with cats, they can all do very well with cats, but I wouldn't recommend getting one that hasn't been raised with cats. Terriers - especially those three breeds - were bred to hunt small game, so they have a pretty high prey drive when it comes to cats, rats, rabbits, etc.
You can totally take it over--that would be awesome :D I'll still do my best as far as getting to the meetup and all. I want to go, I just know I don't have the time to dedicate to actually organizing it -right now-. :
So if raised with cats terriers are less likely to be aggressive towards them? I read somewhere they might actually become protective of the cats, viewing them as /their/ cats XD
I'll get on taking over the organizing tomorrow. Let me know whenever you're able to step back in and take over again. If you want to that is.
Yeah XD they may end up protecting the cats. It depends on the individual dog, but my dogs have always viewed the cats as THEIR cats. When we were fostering a dog and the strange dog attacked and mauled our cat, it started a doggie brawl. They get serious about protecting the cats.
Terriers will always have that prey drive, so they may chase the cats for fun or -maybe- snap at the cats if they're around the dog's food or toys (only if the dogs aren't trained/taught to know this is NOT acceptable) but they don't really mean harm--it's usually play or warnings.
I can't thank you enough about taking over ;A; I feel so inept. Life is such a cruel lady! D: I'm going to do my best to make it to the meet-up. That shouldn't be a problem, but I won't be able to take over again until after I've dealt with my personal life.
