Yesterday I went skiing for only the second time in my life, the first being in eighth grade. Much to my surprise, it was a ton of fun. Today was probably the peak of laziness during my break. I'm loving this extra week before school starts. There's too much to think about, but I'm not overwhelmed, which might be a first. My sleep patterns are entirely out of whack now. I better get to bed before I turn nocturnal and lose my way back to early mornings.

This must be the time of marriage and engagements. I lost count of everyone I know who has either gotten married (or will soon) or engaged in the last month. My goodness. With my sisters, we walked/hiked up to this ridge near our apartment and watched the sun set behind the clouds and mountains. It was beautiful. I wore a tank top today. Today has been such a productive day. My gigantic list of reading and writing is much smaller and over it I'm starting to see the end of the semester. For the first time since the beginning of the semester, I managed to write some decent poetry. I don't love it but it's much much better than the rest of the stuff I've written. My bed is looking pretty good right now. I've spent a solid three plus hours writing tonight. Tomorrow I have to hand in what I've got so far for my thesis.
