Some of the multiple reasons why I will never buy from Dell again, and discourage others from doing so.

too bad i didn't know earlier. i probably could've picked up a replacement power supply from one of the hotels i work for for free (they get left behind and never claimed all the time.) maybe i'll still do that just in case. almost all of the Dell power supplies are identical and will work with nearly any of the laptops they've made in the last 5 years or so.

Not this one. It's an XPS M1730, with a MASSIVE power cord and adapter that run like $150 to replace.
