Yes. Unfortunately, they didn't do quite a clear enough job of indicating up front that the franchise was going drench itself in the anxieties of its aging original audience.

Funny thing: Jorie doesn't mind the darkness of the movie at all. I think it's a more difficult watch for me than for her.

The Quiet Earth is on my short list of favorite movies. Everybody should see it, unless you have significant paranoia-induced anxiety. Terrific ending.

Seconded. It was really, really hard to find there for a while so I'm pleased to see it on this list.

"Intacto" is the only movie I've felt this way about recently.

Monsters was probably the coolest thing I saw all year last year. It would have been tremendous even without the "it cost HOW much?" factor.
