Many people insist that the movie of Logan's Run was a horrific mangling of the original novel. I read the original novel a while ago, and, guess what: it's as ridiculous as the movie. Maybe more so. The movie is not one I have a lot of non-ironic affection for, but I think the charge of maladaptation is undeserved.
