I think you've got a point about Satan, there. I have an intense dislike of "packaging", a subject that Interpol gets touchy about because of the suits. The idea that you can take any crap and market the hell out of it so it takes off is just like...musical TV dinners. Ick.

I always remind myself that these kids that are thrown into the spotlight and forced to regurgitate dance moves complete with 'sparkle hands', have no personalities.
They have no stories - they have no bitter tales of being fucked up the arse by management, fellow band mates or record companies along the way. They are just...there. How incredibly dull.
They cant do a sound byte for the interviewers if their life depended on it. Apart from 'I feel very blessed to be here with this chance...'. Well fuck that, I dont feel very blessed to be in my position, I worked damn hard to get on Top Of The Pops! They just wandered on in ( ... )

I agree wholeheartedly. TV and pop music shouldn't mix, because when they do they create some ugly ugly children.
