I'll try. I keep wanting to write about this really complicated stuff, though, and it ends up devouring my time.

Uh huh. I mean, it's not like a have a garage full of them or anything, but let's just say I've inhaled my fair share of pulverized concrete.

robert and i were talking (there may have been some snarkiness, if I didn't detest that word) about how livejournal wasn't the same since you stopped updating.

experiencing culinary failure, but, yeah, good to "see" you.

You know what? I kind of like it when you get all mushy.

And I think you're right to point out the annoyingness of the word "snarky," at least when people use it all proudly. E.g.[cut-and-pasted AIM conversation]
Yeah, I know, I'm totally snarky...

Thanks. I still have a post-it note on my wall to comment on some of those stories you wrote a while back. You should post more of them.

I was wondering... your hard drive didn't actually melt did it? That thing you're building - is that the veranda?

It would be pretty scary if my hard drive actually melted. Like we had to pour it out of of the computer. I think I'd have bigger problems if that were the case, though. Like fire.

As far as building, I'm not building a veranda, but I'm building something on the veranda. Although technically I think veranda is too classy a word for the veranda-like area in front of my house. Anyway, the thing itself isn't that complicated or anything. Instead of having it take a month I probably could have done it all in one day, but it involves a lot of drilling through concrete, which is loud, and since there's no rush I'm trying to space it out so as not to annoy the neighbors and not be discovered by the landlady (which I already have been, actually.)
