YAY, welcome to the fandom! There's not a lot of LaviXAllen fanfiction out there, though I'm working on remedying that. My fics are here, here, here, and here.

Oh, and you can skip eps 40-49 of the anime. They're pretty much pointless, badly done filler. It rejoins the manga with 50.

I've read two of you fics on Mediaminer, I liked them both :)
That sucks about the fillers, though... although there was one filler (I think it was, haven't read the manga) that I watched a few episodes back which was freakin' hilarious... espeacially when Allen got the squid stuck on his head... cuuuuuuuuuuuute!

Oh, the early fillers were great. Especially the crack ones. It's just when you get into that pure filler arc in the 40s that they get bad, with flat characterization, writing that frequently forgets the rules of the universe and substandard animation. Once they pick up the manga material, things improve again.
