I'm feeling a little guilty for not being sad that my "Uncle" just passed away. Technically he is my uncle, as he's my father's brother in-law, but that makes him family and what he did to his daughters, doesn't make him my family! I am actually happy that he's suffered the last year and that he passed away. I'm not signed in, but it's me (Niniae). Lots of people have "funny uncles", I had one too. He was my Aunt's brother (she was married to my Dad's brother) so no actual blood relation to me (thank christ!). He was a total slimeball who attempted to molest me when I was 11. I escaped unscathed and became extremely wary about being around when the man was visiting. I warned my cousin immediately, but didn't tell anyone else for many many years. I've always felt guilty because he later married a woman with a young (13 yr old) daughter, and I think he molested her. She became very "wild" and ran around with a bad crowd. I think she was trying to escape him. (He eventually was divorced, and had his mobile home shot up with a shotgun. I believe someone caught up with him for touching thier girls.) To this day I wish I could tell her that I'm sorry for not telling. I only found out the bastard was dead a few years ago, died alone and suffering in a nursing home.
