For Ladysnaps...

Feb 01, 2010 19:57

By now, everyone knows about the tragedy that happened to the lovely ladysnaps. Ever since I heard the news early this morning, I couldn't stop thinking about a way to help her. And I came up with something...

Since I am still the co-webmistress over at Always & Forever - Elijah Wood, I have posted a message there asking for help to replace ladysnaps's huge Elijah ( Read more... )

I plan to put the entire Elijah Photo Archive on DVD's for her. And I'm trying to figure out a way to set up a paypal account so LJ folks can donate a few bucks to help her through this rough time. Do you know of a way to do that???

Please let me know.

*hugs*

I had also planned to copy the complete picture archive of A&F on cd's but maybe I should wait with that. As a webmistress, she has access to those files anyway.

I do have a paypal account but I mainly use it to pay for stuff. But I quickly checked the website and it seems very easy.

A paypal account is initially linked to your credit card. To give money, you only need to know the paypal email of your recipient. Money that is stored on a paypal account can easily be transferred to an normal bank account.

See www.paypal.com for info.

It's me again... Lady does have a paypal account and guess what? I still have the details. It's been three years since I made payment to her account so I should check if it's still valid. But if it is, you can transfer directly to her account.

Oh, if you could see about that and let me know... I would be in heaven. That way all the folks who are dying to help her out can do so.

Thank you so much for helping me with this. I was rather at a loss.

*hugs*

This is terrible news. Can't believe something so devastating happened to such a sweet and generous friend :(
I linked your entry to my journal. I'd like to help to rebuild her collection, I'll email you for more details as soon as I can.

Sure, thanks so much! I'm in the meantime, trying to find out if her paypal account is still valid. There seem to be lots of people who want to give money too.

As soon as a Paypal account can be named, I want to donate some money.

As for pics - I have never even burned anything on this computer, I would have to investigate . . .

Love,

- Karin.

I lost a small part of my Elijah collection recently when a CD corrupted so I probably haven't got as many pictures as many of you but, I may just have something that others are missing. I found three of Lady's autumn pics which I saved but then she may have those already stored in photobucket or the like.

It's great that you have some of her photos. I'm the only person I know who actually uses Photobucket for storage. I have over 20,000 pics there because I don't save pics on my hard drive. I don't think lady did that. I have a lot of photos she took, too, including many from her trips, her friends and family. I plan to just give her my password and let her take anything she wants.

I have clips too and lots of pics. I could send her CDs too. I have a Photobucket account too and she could have what I have from there too, its some but not a whole lot.
I haven't been saving much these months but I do have some.

I also don't have any recent things, but it's possible the older things that might be harder to replace.

Let me know if you need her address and I'll email you.

I have her mailing address. She'll still get mail, won't she? I have quite some older clips and audio ones.
Should I just send her everything? would anyone else be sending the same ones? Thanks, Bren, you're a gem!
