I'm going to be honest -- I got choked up while reading this.

A lot has happened since we first met. One of the most wonderful changes that I've seen has been your open-armed acceptance of getting excited about politics and having it mean something to you. Allowing yourself to be optimistic. Quite a long way from the arguments we used to have (circa 3.5 years ago).

I'm so happy to have friends like you. Now I'm going to make my own entry on (basically) the same note.
