This is my first attempt at a live journal entry. I really have no idea what I am talking about. I thought it would be simple to begin writing, like typing an email or something, but I am having a hard time getting started for some reason

I have had a couple of those screaming moments you are refering to. I guess everyone has at some point. Of course, in our moments, God isn't pulling away from us.
I would like to get a copy of those tapes if you guys get them.

you know what's weird- our church is called faith baptist church, and our pastor's last name is mills... hmmm
okay, not making any sense now. cold medicine must be kicking in.:
that's awesome about understanding more about jesus' crucifixion... i feel like the longer that i'm a christian, the more it means to me. does that sound trite? i don't mean it to be. i'm hoping to go see the passion movie the week before easter. i've been reading about it, and the church that i work at has a book that has all these pictures from the movie in it. i just looked at it one afternoon and was filled with the feelings of gratitude and tenderness toward jesus.
i'd be interested in some tapes from your pastor too... :)

thinking about the whole err on God side and X screaming. the fact that X says "not my will but yours," thats pretty interesting. some people like to try and explain that away. they want to "protect" the God side of X, they want to try to avoid X and God having two seperate wills. i tend to think its good evidence of his humanity. i believe it shows that X did the act willingly....meaning he could have chosen not to do it. the whole impecability thing. it seems to me that X could have sinned. kinda makes it a little more interesting. maybe even a little more extreme and meaningful. just thinking.

To the two of you interested in tapes, Jeremy is currently trying to get the sermons on the church web site. I'll let you know when that happens. A word of caution: normally with stuff like this I say "don't worry if you don't like it, it won't hurt my feelings." BUT, with Joe, I have to say it WOULD hurt my feelings. So, if you ever hear one of his sermons and don't like it, feel free to lie to me. He's a very special person to me and I admire him so much. He has given of himself so freely to help me and Jeremy. I am bordering on a serious problem because I know he is human, but it's just hard to remember that about some people, you know?
Anyway, thanks for the interaction! It will be fun until you guys come to the realization that I have never had a single original thought! I am trying to make sure I at least give credit to the people who come up with the ideas that I copy, so I won't be TOA - right?

P.S. - to the both of you, the first entry feels the weirdest. You will get to the point where it's okay to post a 'lame' entry. Don't fret over it, just post. It's hard to get back in the saddle if you let it slack because you want to write something 'brillant'. Believe me, my entries are NOT brillant. I once posted an entry about farting.
