Hi! My name is Deb. My husband and I have been married for 24 years and have two grown children. Our daughter, the youngest, still lives at home. We're beginning to wonder if she'll ever leave LOL. I'm a knitter who learned a tiny bit of crochet from an older relative when she was little. I like to pick up something every now and again, but really, anything with yarn is OK by me!

Looking forward to reading more.

My mother had a hard time just this past year becoming an empty-nester, caring for kids and her mother. I just moved out two years ago, and I'm the oldest, but now 32... for a person with the disability, finding suitable housing options in my town is almost non-existent, but one place fell in my lap accidentally LOL! After I moved out, my mother's mother broke her hip in the middle of my moving preparations, so once I left, the following weekend, mom moved her mother into their home, and she stayed there for a year until mom's health issues cropped up, and she ended up getting her on top of the wait list to get into long-term care (she has alzheimer's and walking isn't necessarily easy for her any more)... in the end, my mother's "cancer" ended up benign, but she did have major surgical complications and now she is on the road to recovery.... She is now truly doing things that she hasn't had the time to do especially after she graduated from university last year (on top of caring for her mother and not prioritizing her health...).
