gotta say nick drake... if he came back from the dead, he'd be all fired up with anger over those awful car commercials and out to prove he's innocent of contemporary accusations of being "twee"...

I dunno, but I bet neither one of them would fight Isaac Hayes.

More like Hayes vs. Barry White.

Or better yet, Hayes vs. Marvin Gaye (would be the Hagler/Leonard fight of singers).

The flashy Donovan out points Drake in the early rounds with high energy shoeshining work to the body, however as the fight progresses Drake begins to assert his will as he stalks a slowing Donovan around the ring. Drake uses his reach advantage and catches Donovan more and more with his jab eventually dropping him with an overhand right in the 8th. Donovan survives the round and the rest of the fight by waltzing and holding. After 10 rounds, this judge scores the bout : Nick Drake 97 / Donovan 92 (with a 10-8 in the 8th) Donovan is stripped of his WBO folk belt, rumoured to fight again soon for the WBA against another nimble fighter Paul Simon. Drake seeks a shot at the relentless hard hitting Dylan for the WBC.

Postscript : Simon wins a close and controversial decision at Madison Square Garden over Donovan. While Dylan KOs the young Drake in the 4th, Dylan got inside Drake's reach and caught him flush with a crushing uppercut.

I hope during the fight, both of them have their larynxes crushed, so neither one can subject us to the torment of their singing, ever.

I agree, even though Bowie is one of my favorites (1971-1980). He should still be severely punished for the "Dancing in the Streets" single he recorded with Mick Jagger.
