Maybe it's the reason I'm a writer. I like pain a little too much.

But when you look at it, life is pain. the more you embrace it, the better you should be. Still, the more you seek it out, the sicker the fuck you are.

By that rational, I am one sick fuck.

With my most recent run of unemployment, I've gained a case of insomnia that comes and goes when I least expect it. I wouldn't mind this condition so much - hell I would embrace it like a newborn child if my brain didn't stop being productive somewhere around 2:30 p.m. It also dosn't start again with the productivity until I actually do sleep. So with my new-found time off I've been paying attention to my diet more - more importantly how I feel after eating certain foods. After spending the afternoon comatose after enjoying a burger, I decided that after the first weekend of the tourney I'm going to start eating smarter. At my parents house, looking at a candy dish I received as a child from my great aunt. On the bottom is the date it was given - 1984.

I was receiving gifts from people that I remember well two years before my last gf was born.

2009 - the year started off pretty bad (I can't count the number of times I said I couldn't wait for 2009 to be over by like march), and never got into it. I really am beginning to loathe newspapers, and have no desire to work for one in the future. That could change if I got to a 'real' one (in theory), but would rather do something else cool. We'll see what happens.
