Gah, I'm crying like a baby. It's been a while since I've read a first war era fic and my emotions are all on edge today.

Beautifully written. I especially loved the scene with Lily and James over for supper, because it just shows how badly their relationship is working.

omg. what have you done???? you've broken me into little tiny pieces and stomped on them. this is so painful and beautiful is is completely and totally canon. As much as it hurts, it makes so much sense.

There are so many gorgeous lines and images, like this: He feels a moment of panic at the thought of a lifetime of never touching Remus again, of never seeing that smile that seemed reserved just for him, but he shakes himself free of it. That smile hasn’t shown itself in so long Sirius barely remembers what it looks like. is a GORGEOUS piece of writing. omg. I love that it felt all the way through like just one of them saying what they were feeling out loud could have changed things. That is part of what made it feel so very real. The shower scene was perfect -- this is who we are together, but one night like that doesn't change things. The morning still comes. So well done

oh, it hurts so good. this is a wonderful way to tell a story like this. it gets across what you're going for perfectly. i'm in love with the end of the second section... especially If Remus looks up from the paper as he walks out, Sirius doesn’t notice. it conveys everything, about both of them and the way they've come to be, in such a simple observation.

the title is beautiful, also, such a great song ♥
