i haven't *heard* anything about it. perhaps because i've been too distracted by the combination of the bathroom-cruising witch hunt & the bandom play-gay.

oh. jerry was being CRAZY and weird about 18 hours into the telethon and started talking to a camera man about his fictitious family and said something like "i see you brought your son bobby and henry, the illiterate faggot"

and GLAAD went apeshit about it.

which i understand and don't, all at the same time.

he's apologized now.

I don't care for him, so I wasn't surprised. I think one's internal filter starts to fail at a certain age. That or my parents are both totally nuts.

I'm never sure where the line is. Years ago, I took a friend to the airport and we had to find her traveling companion. She told me he was an attractive black man. So I pointed out all the attractive black men that wandered by. When he arrived, he was flattered at the label, but I've always wondered if it was okay or not.

I think I think too much. /sigh

i think so too.

hee! i think the "flattered" part indicates that it was okay.

see, race and skin colour make such good descriptors if talking about someone's appearance, especially for identification purposes.

like saying "green eyes" or "purple hair or "red shirt"

but somehow it feels wrong, and i think that's part of PC going too far, you know?

though watching the clip on youtube, it appears what he actually said was "the illiterate fa... no." as in "I won't go there."

jerry lewis isnt real.

nope he died long ago from to many slapstic jokes and cockimamy comedy plots. they gave him 5 years and he finished at 3.5 with great big oversized glasses on.

the imposter in his place is actually a characture of himself. a cgi jerry lewis. just atenis ball to the camera man.
