What makes for good tv before a flight?

The other day when I was sitting at the airport having some breakfast and watching some CNN. Of all things to be on television what are the chances that it would be involving a plane crash? How about on the flight there (to winnipeg) watching a show that was discussing another flight that crashed. To top it off, on the way home Discovery was

a week before i landed in Amman, Jordan three hotels there were bombed by suicide bombers. after we arrived, we drove right past all three. i think that's pretty crazy too.

thats BRUTAL! We have this place up here called 'The Hope Slide' -- its this place where all these rocks tumbled down a hill and filled in this small valley or something. Anyway, my Mom's friend felt sick and went home a day early and drove right through there, but like -- one day before it happened. She totally would have been buried alive!

also, sarah (who i believe you know) was late for work in london. and missed her subway train. the one she catches everyday. which that day, was one of the ones bombed. CRAZY STUFF. it makes me feel better everytime i'm late for work though.
