The Responsibility to Respond Responsibly

Today I heard something on the radio today about 'the blame game' and how since the beginning of our time we've been highly involved in the task of pinning the blame on everyone but us. Adam blamed God, Eve blamed Satan, the US Government blames Michael Brown... etc. I see it a lot in the corporate world when the most minor screw up takes place. It ( Read more... )

wow. that's a wonderful post, steve.
it's...convicting, hey? i like what you said though, about your 'sphere of influence' and what you can do, because thinking about things like all those people being dumped in skid row is overwhelming, and discouraging and the thought, though with noble intention, usually results in succumbing to a feeling of uselessness. but yeah, figuring out what details in the world are directly affected by you, first, and dealing there, that's smart. still, i guess that's saying that whoever is directly affecting situations like skid row, for example, is to blame for that, and that they need to take care of it. i guess we need to go a little farther past our own responsibilities to make up for those who don't deal with theirs. and in the end, i'm still left overwhelmed.

1) Your layout is absolutely incredible.
2) I was looking through some old entries in good ol LJ, and saw one from the first Dunamis show. I was complaining about sound check and you said:

"that sound check guy's an asshole.. tell him to email me so i can tell him that :)"
