Replacement furniture; taken care of. Groceries for stocking Katsuya's repaired kitchen; accounted for. Everything the apartment needed had been attended to, so to anyone with a serious disposal, Jun's insisting on going to the shopping center in Aoba was nothing short of unnecessary ( Read more... )

Shopping. Of all the things to be forced to do... but he couldn't let Jun go alone. Isn't that what a real man does? The things that you gotta do but don't want to? Ugh. At least Jun would be by his side (not someone else); that would make the experience at least bearable. Then again...knowing how he tended to fuss over details, this could be a very long shopping trip for very few concrete results.

At least he looked more presentable in that uniform. It would be embarrassing to make him go out in Tatsuya's clothes...he hadn't seen the list, but assumed clothes were on the list.

Tatsuya felt sort of shy in the mall, like going to an elderly relative's place and you weren't sure what to say.

"Anywhere you want. Whatever."

Tatsuya would be sorely disappointed if he could see Jun's list. They had to find a garden shop, of course, because all of Jun's items were there. Pots and dirt and seeds and the like. But if they went there first then there would be nothing to do later.

So, Jun mulls over the map for a bit, wondering where he could drag the other without him getting too bored. A few seconds and then Jun grabs Tatsuya's hand without really thinking much of it. "Alright, let's go then."

He leads Tatsuya off by the hand, weaving easily through people without too much hassle before darting into what looks to be an accessory shop. Jun certainly isn't here for the jewelry and walks right the displays, letting go of Tatsuya's hand to wave down the owner of the shop and speak with him.

He looked over the map for a few seconds, distantly, before his eyes glazed over. This wasn't really his idea of fun... One or two stores looked like maybe there would be something he could use, but since it was necessary, he just passed on the idea in favour of making Jun happy by using the time for whatever he wanted to go get. This outting was for his benefit more than Tatsuya's.

-! The swift movement shocks Tatsuya for a second - his eyes widen but he manages not to say anything at the sudden warmth overtaking his hand. What... Don't think too hard about it.

Unlike Jun, Tatsuya isn't that co-ordinated and bumps into a baby carriage and some taller man that got a mumbled apology before they reach the store that grabbed Jun attention. Thankfully.

....................Jewellery? Why...

Man, is this ever awkward.

Jun fumbles with his wrist awkwardly while he speaks with the older man behind the counter. After half a minute he worries his lip before pulling off his watch and handing it over for inspection.

The other thing on Jun's list was to go get his watch a new battery and to be looked at.

His fingers hold the spot his watch used to be, and since Jun barely took the thing off to shower, it's obvious that his discomfort is from parting with it for even a moment. A few more words are exchanged, and Jun fervently shakes his head before pointing to the watch. No, he didn't want a new one, he just wanted that one tended to, thanks.

He glances at Tatsuya after a minute, a weak smile flitting across his face. "Just a minute. Have to drop this off." He calls over.

More important? It was, he knew that. Jun didn't think of something so practical as clothes as important. Flowers, on the other hand, would make him smile longer and more deeply than the nicest outfit the world had to offer.

Tatsuya noticed that Jun had not let go of his hand even though there was no need to pull him along any more, apparently. Was he afraid that he would run away given the opportunity to look at something else while Jun bought his flowers? Was this to ensure he would stay and experience the joy of garden shopping alongside him? Eh...

Still...all things considered, Tatsuya didn't let go either.

Tatsuya's hands were always so warm and Jun considered it a personal victory that Tatsuya hadn't simply dropped his hand from Jun's when the opportunity came. Jun didn't read into it any, because knowing Tatsuya there was nothing to be gleaned from it. He was leading, and Tatsuya was dutifully letting himself be lead because he knew it was what Jun wanted ( ... )

Watching the happiness spread over Jun's face was like the feeling of victory. This was how things were supposed to be. It was ...great, being next to him and watching him be happy. It had been so long... he deserved this, and Tatsuya was not going to lessen it in any way. If he didn't want to let go, then Tatsuya would not force him to.

THWUMP. The sudden stop, especially since he wasn't watching where he was going means Tatsuya hits Jun's back face-first.

"...not really." lol apathy. "Maybe purple."

"Whoa!" Jun pitches forward, completely thrown off balance by the sudden impact and nearly goes down right on his face. As it is, he stumbles a couple steps before catching himself and straightening.

He'd be mock annoyed about Tatsuya's carelessness if his complete lack of opinion on a matter as serious as this did not overshadow it. Jun scrunches his face up. You're no help at all, the glance says, but Jun should have known better to expect any less from Tatsuya.
