hey there, I think you need to only do it when your ready. mentally and physically becuase otherwise you might regret what you have done. It's a case of yes or no, once you do it you can't change your mind, there is no middle bit. I know you prob know all this and it might not help at all but think about it because you do it and you will be happier with your decision.
By our age you would only JUST be in the minority, but that's fine! Some people don't have sex until they're 25, 28 or even 40! Some never do, but that's a different story!! There is nothing wrong with holding off whether it's for religion, emotional or that you just haven't found the right partner yet..
I agree with the whole emotional thing, that's damn important and I follow that. Though you can't give a time until your ready. 3 months?? Could take 6 to 48 months! Might be as few as 1.. but that's a bit short..
But it is NEVER a "get it over and done with" situation. Under no circumstances, if you are smart enough (and not drunk) you can hold off lust with a bit of thought.. If it's a matter of your body issues, even then you can't just expect it to click like that. You have to feel comfortable around someone for long enough, actually trust them (you will eventually with the right person), and then and only then can you even CONSIDER it.
