[May-in-Hiro] Coming up for air?weirdwebJune 19 2007, 12:28:01 UTC
((OOC: It occurred to me that if the Doctor can sense time shifts like he did when he realized Aiden was missing two weeks, it'd be interesting to see what Daniel-in-the-Doctor makes of Hiro - even May-in-Hiro, as people's powers are sticking with their bodies.))MAYDAY ENTERS
( ... )
After talking with John and Aeryn Rose decided she had better find the Doctor and let him know she had just offered to take in two more strays, at least for a short trip.
No sooner did she leave the caf then she saw Chloe with her hands on the Doctor. Or their bodies at least.
"Oi! Hands off. That belongs to me." She stormed down the hall to stand next to the odd tableaux. "You wanna add to your harem, look somewhere else."
Daniel's brain reined his body in, but it wasn't soon enough to avoid an unfamiliar male voice calling out, "Geez, Faith, let the guy come up for air, why don't you?"
The cat call, naturally encouraged Faith who tried to intensify her assault on Daniel's mouth and his senses. Indecision gone, he gripped her shoulders, trying to push her away without hurting her.
Again, not soon enough.
"Oi! Hands off. That belongs to me." The voice, the presence, the nearness of Rose overwhelmed him. Somehow Daniel managed to detach Faith's mouth from his all the while wondering if the embarrassment could possibly be any worse.
Rose stood far closer than Daniel was comfortable with, practically poised to wedge herself between Daniel and Faith, and Faith smirked up at him deviously. Not there that had ever been any doubt as to whom was in possession of Chloe's body, but that smirk underscored it. That smirk did not belong on Chloe's face.
"This isn't - she kissed -" Daniel snapped his jaw shut in annoyed frustration. And why am I explaining and

Rose gently, but firmly took Chloe's arm and pulled her back. "And I am not tryin' out Daniel's body." Rose looked over to where the Doctor/Daniel was pinching the bridge of his nose in a very Daniel way. "Not that it isn't a very nice body, or that you aren't a bit of alrigh'."
She turned to Chloe once more. "But have you ever heard of loyalty? Fidelity? Or at least just plain exclusivity?"
Okay, where had that last word come from? Kinda like her new ease with maths.
"No test drivin' anything. Got it? Only someone with little to no integrity'd do somethin' like that in a body don't belong to them."
"One thing at a time," Daniel told Isabel, politely. He wanted to deal with Rodney, already his brain was trying to wrap around who to leave and charge when making the long trek to the TARDIS. Jon, perhaps, but a lot of people saw him as nothing more than a teenager; Blaise, certainly, but he would need back up and support. It wouldn't be difficult to keep this group in line, but if they were attacked or threatened - who would defend and protect?
"I'll be along shortly," he continued to Rodney. "But there are some things that will need to get squared away before we go."
"Don't worry, Danny," Faith linked her arm through his and nudged him with her hip. "We can hold the fort down while all the big brains are gone. After all, you do have yourself a Slayer." If it hadn't been for the briefest flicker of indecision and worry in her eyes, Daniel might have pointed out that at this moment Faith wasn't a Slayer.
She understands the situation better than she's going to let on, Daniel realized. From the look of scrutiny that Isabel and

Isabel looked at Faith, surprised at her apparent inclusion in the ruling cabal to be established in the absence of Daniel. She thought she'd have to fight for that

"Hello, Hiro. I'm Faith, and while Dr. Jackson and Dr. McKay figure out how to fix all of us -" She stopped and glanced at Rose and Isabel, "well, most of us, we're going to get you settled in and answer any questions because I'm sure you have a lot of them."
He broke out in a relieved grin when he heard Japanese, nodding as he listened. "Oh, yes," He moved to push the non-existent glasses back up before he clenched his fists, shoving them in his pockets. "I have many questions..." He looked around them, nervously, rubbing his arm. "Many questions and no ideas where to begin."
Isabel came running back around the corner from the grisy scene of Shannon-in-Charlie's murder and saw May's body still waiting, looking bemused.
"Sorry," she said, hoping he understood at least that much English. "Bad things happening." She gestured toward the cafeteria which wasn't being used by the magic folks. "This way, please. We can get food and drink, and talk about what is happening."
Radek-in-Rodney emerged from the Geek Lab, long cables looped over his shoulders, a laptop tucked precariously under one arm and a large lump of machinery in both hands.
He stopped dead as he realised how full the corridor was, but the noise was quite muted considering the number of people there. Staring slack-jawed at the others, he realised Dr Jackson was heading this way. "Doctor Jackson?" he queried, the Czech accent sounding just plain wierd out of Rodney's larynx. "Can.. I talk to you?"
Daniel nodded and allowed the (nicer) scientist in Rodney's body to lead him a short distance away.
"What's the problem, Dr. Zelenka?"
"Never mind!" Daniel heard his own voice, sounding odd with the Doctor's accent come around the corner as the Daniel's own head peeked around the bend as well. "We worked it all out. Come on back, Radek. Lots to do."
Before Daniel could answer, the howls of Orrie began, the mournful cries sending a shiver down his spine, followed by shouts and calls for him. Voices that he could actually hear in the Doctor's body. "Well, it looks like there's another crisis in the work anyway. Tell McKay and the Doctor I'll be along as soon as I can."
EXIT DANIEL
((OOC: Lame, I know, but I wanted to get Daniel over to the blood and gore thread and out of this one.))
