And their make-up at the end seemed sort of rushed. Like she got over her problems with him entirely too quickly. Don't get me wrong, it didn't ruin the movie or anything. Not at all. It was just sort of annoying.
that was the main thing for me. i really liked alison, but you can't say that some of their issues weren't her fault. so he knew about the ~mucus~ and that was it? idk idk.
i loved the roommates using their own names, it was so qt and made it seem like, real or something. like you could just imagine that everything was totally unscripted and they were just hanging out.
was jodi the asian? or kristin wiig? i thought both did a really great job and probably got most of the laughs in the theater.
LOL. I know. He knew all these crazy birthing things and she did a complete turn around. "Omg awwwwww, you read the books!"
I like to imagine all the dialogue between the roomates was improvised. I just know they all sit around and tell each other their faces look like vaginas.
Jodi was Ben's stoner asian friend. She was the coolest.
I missed the first 20 minutes so maybe I missed a clue, but I assumed Alison lived with her sister since it was a nice private guest house, probably free or for little rent, and she was just getting started with her career/adulthood so she didn't really need her own apartment.
I enjoyed the movie but I didn't lol as much as I did with 40YOV.
Who was Jodi? Was she the stoned girlfriend that hung around the guys' house?
I don't think Judd tried to pin all the blame on the guys, but he wrote them as immature and in the situation Seth was in, becoming a dad, his immaturity made him seem like a bit of a douche to me. If he didn't have a baby on the way I probably would have laughed at his behavior as I did with Freaks and Geeks (he and his friends seemed sweet too) but it was a bit annoying after a while since he was no longer just some guy hanging out with friends - he was now a father to be. When Alison found the books in the closet, not even removed from the bag, I understood her anger and disappointment. I can't imagine getting
( ... )
Don't get me wrong, I didn't think the guys were innocent either. I just think it should be acknowledged that BOTH people in the relationship had their problems. It wasn't just one person fucking everything up.
PS- That Vegas trip seemed entirely unecessary. It didn't serve the plot at all, it just seemed like something they added last minute because it sounded like a funny idea. And it was really funny, but also distracting.
Yeah, Alison had the whole I can't believe this guy knocked me up, I shall hide him from friends and not marry him thing going on.. though I don't remember much else.
I think the Vegas trip was needed to have Paul & Seth think about their relationships with their guards down and to speed up the final breakup between Alison and Seth and the sort of happy shift in Paul & Debbie's relationship - but it could have been done another way, without going to Vegas but I imagine the only other way would be a strip club.. which they did, right? I can't really remember.
My main problem with Alison was that she never told her sister to back the fuck off. She had to wait until Ben did it at the hospital. I know, it was her sister, she was family. But she needed to be told to mind her own business. Just because it's your little sister doesn't mean you can tell her how to run her life. All I remember Alison saying was "Give him a break". It just bothered me.
Idk, the Vegas trip may have been important, but it just seemed to pop up out of nowhere. Like "OH HAY! We're going to Vegas!........and we're doing mushrooms!" It was just sort of random and confusing.
It's not that I think he was justified in lying to Debbie all the time. But I can definitely see why he did. She was insane, and I doubt she would have been happy with anything he did.
omg steven karp talking about his pubes both horrified me (ITS INNOCENT LITTLE KARPY!) and made me giggle probably more than the rest of the movie - i dont really luagh at movies idk - plus i was with my mom so it was just an awkwardfest.
i did not ever ever ever need to see paul rudd (actaulyl, anyone) rub his face in a chicks ass. but my friend might have pink eye an d i thought of that / farting on pillows and was like WTF HAVE YOU BEEN DOIN!?!?!?
Debbie was kind of crazy, but. thats realistic. sry2say women are crazy. I want to be Leslie Mann when i grow up. i am kind of
i feel like i've already overly discussed this movie so i have nothing too great to say.
