Fanmix: how they scream: damon + elena

I thought I'd start by sharing some songs that really make me think of all the super delicious Damon/Elena angst. I've been thinking about a second fanmix, too, since some of the songs I love just didn't fit with this project. I've posted samples of the lyrics below. Let me know what you think.

I downloaded all of these the day you posted your "Picture in the Rain" post, and I've finally had time the last couple of days to really listen in-depth to the songs--and GAH. I just wanted to tell you how much I especially love "Epiphany" (Dear God, I love that guy's voice, how have I never listened to Staind before??), "Simon," "Delicate," "Eve," and "She is the Sunlight." They are achingly good, and are on my permanent Damon/Elena mix rotation. So beautiful! So thank you!

Oh, good! I'm so glad you got to listen to them. I've actually gone through entire days where I've listened to only "Epiphany" on loop. That song is brilliant. The lyrics and the music and his voice--it all comes together to create something truly beautiful that sticks with you. And isn't it such a Damon song? I've really started associating him with rain now, and "It's always raining in my head" just seems spot on lyrically.

Obviously, I love all the music or I wouldn't have put it on a fanmix, but listening to the songs in terms of Damon/Elena just makes them such winners, lol. Also, apparently, I am super emo because almost everything I listen to is angsty! Ha!
