I'm sorry to hear that... cancer's never one of those happy things. Both of my grandfathers had prostate cancer and they came out of it ok, but in the meantime I am sending you lots of telepathic hugs...
Most older men eventually develop at least microscopic evidence of prostate cancer, but it often grows so slowly that, as one specialist has written, many men with prostate cancer "die with it, rather than from it."
Hopefully that makes you feel better. It shouldn't be as bad as it seems. Any cancer is not good but having prostate cancer is better than having lung cancer or a brain tumor.
