We Made It!!! - ACTA is dead as of today!!! ;D

Today, the European Parliament has rejected ACTA, the Anti-Counterfying-Trade-Agreement, with a vast majority. Only a small handful or representatives still voted for the traty, most of the members of the parliament voted against it. So, for the moment:Epc Win, folks!

Which of these acts is the one that will make internet providers monitor your account for illegal downloads starting July 12?

Hu? I don't know. Probably CISPA, but I thought it has not completely passed legislation yet. There have been some attempts to get Internet providers to monitor their customers for illegal downloads by private agreements, and as far as I remember (not very clearly, though), some of them in the USA agreed to do that, already; but I would have to look through the blogs I frequently read (like FEFE's) to find the reference again.

Yes, I am not forgetting - those were more important than anything, as people tend to take notice when they see bodies actually out in the streets!
