Troy was actually closer then they would think. After the confrontation with the others in the kitchen, he had grown weary of the castle. So he was out hunting.. rabbit? He did not move to close into the treeline, remembering the two unicorns he had been on before, he decided that far into the forest was *not* a good idea.

So he was currently pulling a part a poor white winter coated hare he had caught, hunger wolfing it down. He had no pack, no safe territory, and he was hated by the humans. Honestly? Troy was afraid, and aggressive, wanting to protect himself so much that he let his wolf instincts pretty much take over, which lead to him being shy of humans. He hated the fact that his tracks led from the castle and out into the treeline, but it was unavoidable like this.

"Not really," Dairine said.

It was times like this that Ponch was really useful. Well, times like this, and other times... She moved away from that train of thought. She had other things to worry about than Ponch who, if what Nita had was actually true, was probably closer to her right now than anyone else in her universe.

"I guess we...walk around?"

This was a really flimsy plan, and that was already becoming apparent.

"I guess we do," Jack said wryly, wondering how on earth one went about looking for a human who could change into a wolf. Or a wolf who could change into a human. Whatever.

"I don't suppose you could do some sort of... werewolf tracking spell?" he asked Dairine, without much hope, eyes still searching the horizon, and the snow at their feet. They crossed the odd set of tracks in it as they walked - no new snow had fallen for a while, but even so there was a lot of ground out here that hadn't been walked on. "Or I guess we could look for wolf tracks in the snow," he added, on a thought. "Though I don't know how we tell if any wolves we find are shapeshifters."

Troy kicked the top of his paws to wash away the blood from the consumed animal. Only thing left was some pits of fur, and bloody snow.Being as white as snow as he was himself, he was not all that easy to see, unless you had a trained eye. He shuffled the snow a bit, grabbing a pine cone, chewing a bit at it, before urinating on a tree. After all, he did wish to mark his territory.

He carried the pine cone, throwing it with his head, and pouncing it, chewing at it. Being alone was horrible, after having a pack all his life. He needed some outlet. Playing like a puppy worked.
