Maris looked up from her book when she felt the helicopter descend, looking out over the expanse of grass with a frown. Her doctor should have been informed of when the helicopter arrived, so where was she? Certainly not waiting like her message had implied she would be.
Shaking her head, she grabbed her duffel and dry-cleaning before hopping out, and dashing out from under the radius of the downdraft. She could see a castle nearby, and raised a mental eyebrow at it, wondering what a medical conference was doing here. Though it looked nicer than some of the places she'd worked at, and hopefully it had been updated with modern facilities.
Slinging her things over one shoulder, she started hiking toward the castle. Maybe her doctor was waiting inside. And she hoped there was some sort of lost-and-found for the cell phone she'd found in the helicopter. Especially since it was starting to beep incessantly.
