You enter a stark white room ...
lit in a harsh white light.
The room is large and immaculately clean.
A big bay window overlooks a brilliant false sky.
Several sofas, desks and tables can be found throughout.
It seems more like a large apartment than a hospital waiting room.
There's even a fully equipped kitchen modestly stocked with a variety of foods.
But even with it's generous size, the bath is the only place that offers any real privacy.
There is one door and immediately upon entering, it becomes apparent that you are not alone.
Then suddenly a bright red alarm flashes ...
from several detectors mounted on the walls. That was the first warning.
The second comes seconds later as men dressed in black hazmat suits rush just beyond the glass door entrance to the waiting room.
They're shouting:
"Seal it off!"
"No one gets in or out!"
"It's contaminated..."
A metal vault-like door rolls into place, blocking the delicate glass entrance. It muffles the voices of the men outside, but their tone is harsh and serious.
If approached or questioned the men ignore your cries, but soon enough a crackling voice is heard over the loud-speaker:
" Attention, Captain Jack Harkness, Dr. Harry Sullivan, Miss Amy Pond, Dr. Jack Shephard, Dorian Gray, Rose Tyler, Eric Northman, The Doctor, The Master, Benjamin Linus, Dr. Isaack Brie, Donna Noble, Damon Salvatore, and Marco...
This is the IDCU - Infectious Disease Containment Unit. This room and all persons within our now officially under quarantine by order of The Government. We have reason to believe one or all of you were recently infected by The Virus. You are being detained here for a period unknown while we monitor your health for any lingering signs of infection. We apologize for any inconvenience. "
The last sound of their presence comes from the big bay window. It pops with static until the holographic night sky turns blood red. In the centre, one word reads: QUARANTINED
...until late that night, the holographic projection screen switches back to sky and there's another sudden crack as the loud speaker switches back on:
" Due to internal circumstances this quarantine has been terminated as of now. Preliminary scans have shown that all of you are uncontaminated. Additional scans will not be required at this time. Thank you and have a nice day. "
There are no other sounds, except the metal door rolling open allowing you your freedom.
[[ ooc: Feel free to have your character react to the quarantine being lifted at your earliest convenience. ]]

[[ ooc mod note- This plot is based off the old classic cliche of trapping characters together in a room and seeing how the interpersonal drama plays out. The hospital will go under strict quarantine once the government gets word of the
virus, trapping together whoever is still there in one small wing in the hospital. Players will have a time span of 3 days to get their character into this log before lock-down occurs. After 3 days an alarm will sound, the door will be sealed, and no more characters may participate. Once committed to the log, no character may leave it for 7 days real time. After the 7 days, the lock-down will be lifted and your character may go.
Your character need not be a patient to participate. Visiting a sick friend or simply being at the wrong place at the wrong time is acceptable to join. It's up to you decide why and how you character is in the wing that will be shut down. There is no limit to the amount of characters who can be quarantined. This thread will function much like a party thread, with characters moving in and out of conversations and interactions.
However, due to the 7 day count down, there will be no posting order during the length of the log, so it's recommended that you have the time to keep up with it. We do ask though that you use some fair judgment as to whether or not to keep tagging if someone else has not responded for a considerable length of time. It might be better for your character to get distracted by another conversation and walk away then wait on someone else, or talk over them, turning them into a living statue.
For those threading in the
treatment log, continuation there is welcome concurrently as a back-dated log.
The quarantine doors are now closed
The quarantine doors will re-open on June 7th GMT -8:00
Watch this log for updates.
Drama is encouraged and murder and injury are welcome ♥
This now concludes our plague plot. Thank you all for participating. ]]
