Damon already caught hold of Bonnie's scent before he entered the cottage. Of course, he wasn't expecting the witch to be asleep on his couch.

Damon just watched her for a few minutes, there was almost a sort of calm and niceness about watching her sleep. At least then she wasn't talking back to him.

Finally though, he cleared his throat loud enough for her to hear and hopefully wake up, as he crossed his arms.

Her eyes opened slowly, and groggily looked up at him, not saying anything, not sure how to react with him standing so close to her.

she sat up slowly and ran a hand though her hair, her eyes not leaving his.

"Hello Damon," She said softly, still unsure what to say. But gained courage when she asked, "I have not seen you in a while. Have things been intense here?" She had been so out of touch with everything she didn't know what was going on anymore. But then again, nothing was normal at the castle.

He watched her closely, his eyes never leaving her as she moved to a sitting position on the couch.

"Bonnie," he said in a low tone and raised his eyebrows at her. "Aren't things always intense here?" He asked as if that should just be common knowledge.

He finally took his eyes off her and turned to the fire place to pour himself a drink.

She broke the gaze, not sure if she wanted to see what emotions he was feeling when he looked at her.

She simply shrugged and drew her legs up to rest her head on her knees. "I meant recently. Like nothing bad going on, that sort of thing." She said hoping she made sense.

She watched him pour himself a drink, and gazed into the fire. For some reason, being in the same room with him was oddly calming.
