¿Cómo se dice prisoner en Español?

"¡Prisionero!"
He felt a sudden chill. Was it really that cold? There was snow outside, wasn't there..?
"¿Qué es esto?" The voice was distant, like an echo. It didn't seem right, though Archie was in no real state to realize that. Despite all of that, it was the voice that was bringing the incessant feeling of a suddenly onset winter. The ex-sailor blinked several times, finding it difficult to process what he was seeing.
There were rocks. Not just rocks, but rocks that were grouped together to make a floor, a wall, a ceiling. Immediately startled, he lifted his face off of the cold floor and propped his upper half up on an elbow. "Muy mal. Si." The voice that answered the long-past echoes was Archie's, but it remained in his mind, so very disconnected to the reality at hand. It stood as dormant as it could, for the time being.
Kennedy rubbed at his head, sending his hair into a flurry. He didn't remember finding his way to... this place, but he certainly knew he was there now. If not for the ornate carvings, he would have easily mistaken the grotto for his unwitting home for three years, a northern Spanish prison on the coastline. At least it explained some of it -- the feeling of winter and the reminder of a time long-past.
Struggling to his feet, Archie made his way up out of the grotto and took in the surroundings. It felt early. The mist still hung in the air, making his clothing feel heavier, and soaking his pant legs and bare feet from walking the edge of the grass line. A hand came up and rubbed at his face, which now had its fair share of red-blond stubble. "Hope it was worth it," he commented, mostly to himself. Whatever had happened, Archie was certain he didn't remember it for a good reason.
Hands cupped around his mouth, and he called out into the fog, "Hello? Is there anyone out there?"
