When Archie arrived early, he expected to see at least some staff members. He and Anastacia had worked quite hard the evening before, as the tables and chairs and linens had mysteriously appeared, but were not set up by whomever had delivered them. The food, apparently, was the same sort of deal.
As he placed the food on the long buffet tables, Kennedy chastised himself for bothering to wear his uniform and not bring a change of clothes. Thankfully, he managed to place the covered food in its designated area without so much as a splash on the pristine uniform. Wasn't it strange that he felt natural when he knew he had left his uniform behind? What sense did it make that it fit him so well? Was there a tailor lurking in the castle, measuring people in their sleep?
Shaking off his thoughts on the matter, and finally satisfied with how everything looked, Archie took himself to a position near the door. He had set up a table that contained a guest book and a sufficient amount of fold-over placeholders. Feeling excited, he filled his out to read "Archie Kennedy," with "Security" written below in Archie's oh-so-nice handwriting.
Now, all they needed were guests.
