LARP may just be too social. It takes a lot more energy and the other types of gaming can be more relaxed. I have always found it to be so anyway. At least you are getting out and having fun some of the time, yeah? :)
Relationships are a lot of work and it becomes easier to drift when things start pulling instead of working out a way to stay better connected. Once the gap really starts showing, it would take much effort on both sides to fix it and we (people in general) are often unwilling to go through that much effort to take on the things that need fixing. Communication is often the root but everyone has to know that there are problems brewing to see if they can/want to work on them. Probably similar to what happened between M and I back in the day. Change is hard and I hope that this one leads to a better connection in other/new relationships.
