Rachel has made her Christmas list and checked it twice.
What she wants the most -- she tells me -- is a Fur Real Friends Butterscotch Interactive Pony. Running anywhere from $299 - $650, it's insanely priced and she's not getting it. However, the write-up on Amazon is priceless.

Today I decide to make this no-knead bread that I keep reading so much about. I pick the cast iron dutch oven I'm going to bake it in. Day 25: Perfect days

Day 24: Recovery
How do you top Thanksgiving? You eat a big meal today -- roasted chicken with garlic and shallots (a la Alton Brown), mashed potatoes, and julienned carrots with thyme and honey. Day 23: Thanksgiving Day
...and the situation is dire. Supplies are low. The crew is hungry, anxious. They can smell the stuffing, the turkey. They can taste the potatoes and gravy. The pie...the brownies...must act soon!

Me: No. The day just sped by since I was home with Rachel. Hear anything interesting today?

Me: I will. I need to do laundry now.
