Yesterday was Rachel Day, a day off from work. We get our birthdays off, and my boss insisted I take Friday off instead of Monday, for a little three day weekend action. This worked very well for me because I was getting my braces on Thursday, and if they were anything like the spacers, all I would be very whiny and in pain for Friday and

I may have missed it, but any word on if Insurance will pay for the surgery?

No word. Won't know for at least another three weeks. But, because I'm going with a private practice that returns my calls, the chances are slim, according to my ortho.

From my distant memories of having braces as a kid (back in the Mesozoic Era), they'll feel weird and awkward for a few days, but you soon get used to them, and things like eating will become second nature again. Good luck!

The limited meal options are really sad though :(
If I may be so bold as to make a suggestion, the Weight Watchers Yogurt that's flavored Cherry Cheesecake is delicious, and this comes from a person that doesn't diet and usually hates yogurt.
