And....I just read today that it was cancelled. I also get tired of investing time and attention ot the really good shows, that get cancelled just as (or before) they really gain momentum.

I found this article, which discusses the cancellation and makes it sound as if FX is sad, too . . . but they are still bastards. And so is the American public, for not having any taste at all.
Well, after reading the article again, maybe Landgraf isn't a bastard, because I can understand the poor ratings and reasons he discusses for cancellation. I just hate that we live in a world where subtlety and uniqueness are punished.
I am so sorry to be the one that broke the bad news, but I did like the article you posted. It sounds like he looked at everything to see if anything could be fixed, but in the end, as you said above, it was the American public that just didn't show up. I am really, really afrfaid that they are all probably watching Palin's Alaska and the Gosselin's continuing breakdown.
