Ha, I was thinking the same thing as I read through the review--you write really good, thoughtful, thorough reviews. Nice. Such a shame about the book--the premise sounds cool.

There are a lot of good things to say about Wither, despite my complaining (it got a star in PW, after all!), so clearly the lack of world-building doesn't bother everyone as much. I just finished another review book (a teen paranormal thriller about angels) that is so poorly written it makes me enraged. At least DeStefano can write competent prose!
