Right, he's not here just now, and I can put up better measures than he did to make sure he never sees this.

I'm not so much *bothered* about what happens to me. Everyone knows I'm smarter than your average demon --look at the whole Hastur and Ligur fiasco. Aziraphale, on the otherhand, isn't as experienced. He doesn't know how hard the landing is when you Fall. It's all very well saying "I love you" but it's what comes after that's the hard part. I know I'll survive. I'm not so sure about him.
