This is really beautiful. :( So sad. Why did Mat have to die, whyyyy? And then when Mello died it wasn't even that sad, 'cause it kinda seemed like he wasn't really alive anymore, right? DDD: Anyway, beautiful writing, as always ♥.

what i meant to include (but was unable to, due to my apparent failure as a writer x.x) is that "mello is so bright that mat can't look straight at him" and it was supposed to be kind of countering because mello is a little tiny bit angsty about his appearance, and then unsure about mat because he can never see his expression, but then mat really understands (and LOVES <333) mello. :(:(:( i dunno. x.x i like it much better now than when i first started it. and the 'like a tiny city' was sort of alluding to mat and mello being gods, and indirectly mello being mat's god, except it's too abstract so it's just pretty imagery. X.X
