I haven't posted here in a while... it seems some people still use LJ, so I might as well give some kind of update.
  • I've been at Google for 5 years now, and still really enjoy my work. Lucky.
  • danamae and I moved in to our own place a couple years ago after finding the perfect listing in the Davis Square area. Lucky.

Hihi!
I'm doing a photo-a-day thing this year, which is a joint effort to learn how to use my new camera and to try and keep LJland populated. Sometime when you're bored, you could look through some of them. I've done a lot of flower portraits, because flowers mostly hold still and don't get embarrassed. I need to work on doing more portraits of humans, and I want to do more geometric-abstract photography.

Will take a look.

And I, too, am trying to get used to a spiffy camera... I should consider taking up such a project.

I'm going to be taking a class on how to use my camera better, mostly because it sounds more fun than reading the manual and I think I'd benefit from weekly assignments. It's wednesday nights at Arlington Community Ed; I could ask if they have room for you...

Is there a start and an end to the class, or is it just an ongoing thing you start taking whenever?

Ok, I clearly have to go back through your past posts and catch up... "how to land an airplane" looks ... kind of petrifying, actually. How does anyone do it?

Good to hear from you, too! :)

Oh, and seeing your post about talking to air traffic controllers reminds me of this thing my dad found that talks about his days as a controller before the strike.

Thanks for visiting! LJ is still a nice space (actually, it seems like LJ usage has picked back up some, among my friends). Sometimes I like writing more than 2-3 sentences.
