F.A.Q.

About the F.A.Q...
- Please read the rules before asking a question.
- Make sure that your question hasn't already been answered before.

001: Where are we?
You are in Crucen, the capital country of N.O.N.E. (Neo Organization of the Next Era), and currently the country that has advanced the most since the 2163 Restart.

002: What is N.O.N.E.?
N.O.N.E. is... Well. Think of it as a sort of union. All countries serve under the same government, use the same currency and share the same language.

003: What is the 2163 Restart?
If you've read the Premise, you would be aware that a few centuries ago the world this RP takes place in more or less went through the Apocalypse. Organ failures left and right, random explosions to due unknown causes, people falling out of the sky and towards their death, and in the end, only a handful of people were left to repopulate the planet. The 2163 Restart, however, is treated as a myth between most people, and the government wouldn't have it any other way.

004: How AU can I be with the In-Game AU characters?
Well, you can be as AU as you want as long as the character is still recognizable. Don't go overboard with it and make your character OOC because of it. Try to at least translate part of your character's canon history into their AU history if possible.

005: In-Game AU characters were born in this world?
Correct. All of the In-Game AU characters were born and raised in this world and will have no knowledge of their respective canon.

006: How do OU characters arrive?
Various forms. Some characters might just pop out of anywhere on the ground, others may fall from the sky, others might come flying out of nowhere through a worm hole. All OU characters however, will only be conscious for a few seconds when they arrive and then they will wake up in the shelter.

007: Can OU characters move out of the shelters and get a job?
At the moment, I am afraid OU characters can not move out or get a job. There will be a point in the game where they will be able to do this however.

008: Do we post to our character's journal?
No. All "blog entries" from your character will go in the main community (crucen). All that needs to be on your character's journal are the obligatory features.

009: What are the names of the radio station and news channel?
69.5 FUCK Radio, and F.A.R.T. (Fast Action Reports Today) Channel 9.

010: Can my character live with another character?
Sure! As long as you make sure to notify the mods when commenting on the Residence List, we don't see why not.

011: What about marriages and pregnancies?
Marriages are alright, pregnancies however are not.

012: Divorces?
If there is a consent between the two players, then yes.

013: Do In-Game AU characters have powers?
We're sorry, but no. In-Game AU characters do not have any supernatural abilities.

014: What money do we use?
While not exactly "money", characters use a Node Card. This Node Card is a small palm sized credit card, in which all of the character's Nodes are stored. These Nodes work as money and allow your character to pay their bills, buy stuff, rent an apartment, and etc. If your character looses their Node Card, they will have to cancel their current card and transfer all their Nodes to a new one. The currency symbol for Nodes is ☊.

015: How do our characters communicate?
All characters will be communicating through BLOGiNG!, Crucen's current internet trend. Think of it as a futuristic LiveJournal. As for the obvious language barriers, the PORTable comes with a small ear piece. It automatically translates everything the person you are talking to says into your language. The PORTable also has various fun games and tutorials to help OU characters learn the language spoken in Crucen.

016: How will the OU characters access it when they don't have a computer?
Through the PORTable, the latest, state of the art technology in Crucen. All OU characters will receive hand-me-down versions of the PORTable their very own PORTable and are expected to post to their BLOGiNG! account (everyone's Register number = their account) so they can "get to know their new environment" until they (the government, of course) fix this mess.

017: What's a PORTable?
It is a cellphone, computer, mp3 player and video game console all at once. It comes in different shapes, colors and sizes (all ranging from the size of your palm to the size of CD player), so what your character's PORTable looks like is up to you.

018: I have an awesome idea for an AU history but one of my cast mate's history clashes with mine. What should I do?
Talk it out with the player in question. Perhaps you can come to an agreement and change a few details in each others histories. Otherwise you will just have to adjust your history to fit theirs.

019: My character has alter-ego that could be considered a separate character. Do you consider them another character entirely, or just one?
Depends on what you mean. If you are referring to cases such as Akito/Agito, then yes. If you are referring to cases such as Lelouch/Zero, then no.

020: Can my character own their own business?
Of course. All you have to do to allow your character to own their own business is get accepted, leave a comment on the Locations post with the location you want added, and comment on the Job Listing.

021: Aside from the OU and AU versions, can we have two of the same character (like Sakura from CCS and TRC, and Squall from FFVIII and KH) but from different canons?
Yes. If you can prove the characters deserve to be treated as separate characters from separate fandoms, we don't see why not.

022: Can character's see each other's icons on the posts?
No. The only visible identifier on the blogs are the character's register number.

023: Why has my application not been accepted?
We're sorry, but for we take longer for some applications due to obscure canons. Usually, however, we take about a week to review all the applications. If more than a week passes and your application has not been reviewed, please send us a message right away.

024: You're anonymous. How do we get a hold of you?
We're sorry, but we would prefer to remain anonymous for now. You may leave a comment at our inbox. But if you're desperate to get a hold of us, feel free to send us an email at crucen(dot)moderators(at)gmail(dot)com or just send us a PM.

025: What job can my character have?
Anything as long as it is within reason. The everyday positions you can find in a modern city, such as a cashier or doctor can be found here, and characters may even hold high ranking positions in the government. Anything outrageous should be discussed with a mod by via PM or by simply asking here, however.

026: Can my AU character's history include people from outside their canon?
Sure, as long as all the players involved are alright with it, characters may share histories and relationships from people outside their canon. But do not include unnecessary details that could be filled in from characters of their respective canons.

027: What are the five cities in Crucen?
Centro, Sur, Norte, Este, and Oeste. Centro is the business area, Sur is low class, Norte is high class, and Este and Oeste are high middle class and lower middle class respectively.

027: What's the F.A.P. System?
This is basically the BLOGiNG! version of LJ's Friending system, but with a rating feature added. It is just a glorified relationships post for your characters.

028: Are *action logs* allowed?
No, sorry. You may only log events in third person, and you may only use *action tags* such as *he sighs* during Voice posts.

029: My character has this item/robot partner (that counts as an item)/thing that I would like them to bring along. Can I?
Unfortunately, unless that something was on your character--as in, attached or in their pockets, then no.
