Part of Zexion predicted that he was possibly, slowly, going insane. It was not a prediction tainted by emotions or use of hyperbole. It wasn't that his mind was becoming scattered or fragmented. It was simply regarded as a possibility, considering his situation.

Since his arrival in Crucen, Zexion had lived a somewhat anti-social, hermitish existence. He had no interest in mingling with his fellow refugees, forming bonds and supporting one another through the trials that were no doubt to come. He had no interest in learning about the world he'd found himself stranded in or mixing with the locals. And he certainly had no interest in finding or meeting a clone of himself. Others were working on the mystery of what had brought them here and how to leave; Zexion never liked doing his own dirty work.

Another part of him, however, revelled in what was essentially a vacation from life. No power games within the Organization, no sending Roxas to collect hearts, and no covering for selfish experiments being conducted by the Superior. He could simply sequester himself in the library, books stacked around him of all shapes, sizes, and content, spending his days reading--not for research, but simply for the sheer pleasure.

And that's exactly what he did.

zexion (ou), selh'teus (ou)
